How to Tell if Your Dealerships Vehicles Posted to Facebook

Are Your Dealership’s Vehicles Really Posted To Facebook Marketplace?

Here are six things to look for:

  1. Do you have two or more photos of each vehicle you want posted to Facebook Marketplace?
  2. Do the vehicles you want to post all have over 500 miles on them?
  3. Is there a list price? Facebook requires any vehicle posted on Marketplace to have pricing.
  4. Does the vehicle have an exterior color listed?
  5. Is there a valid URL attached to each of the vehicles you want listed?

The sixth and final thing to look for is the brand new ‘Vehicles’ tab on your dealership’s Facebook Business Page.

Facebook recently released this new feature, right before the new year (you can read more about it here). If you haven’t done so already, you can not only list your vehicles on Facebook Marketplace but connect it to your business page through the ‘Manage Inventory’ tab.

The good news is, if you’re an AutoSweet customer with a service that includes Facebook Marketplace listings, this is already being done automatically for you.

The experience between the ‘Vehicles’ tab on your dealership’s Facebook Business Page and finding one of your dealership’s vehicles inside Facebook Marketplace is nearly identical.

Whether on the ‘Vehicles’ tab or in Marketplace, when interacting with a vehicle the click takes you directly to the Marketplace VDP.

This is a fast and seamless experience for your dealership to generate additional website traffic, phone calls and Facebook messages about your vehicles.

In conclusion, verifying these six things will ensure your vehicles are posted to Facebook Marketplace. As an added bonus, the sixth point will get your dealership and vehicles additional exposure within the Facebook platform.
